It’s no secret that CNG vehicles are surging to popularity in America. It’s no secret that they are cheaper to fuel, that they burn cleaner, and they last longer than their gasoline counterparts. Fleets and commuters alike are clamoring to reap the benefits of these vehicles. And now, even Gotham’s most infamous crime fighting machine is getting into the act. Bad guys beware; the Batmobile now runs on CNG.
This crime fighting classic has been outfitted to run entirely on clean burning compressed natural gas by Utah based company Semi Services. The engine, thrusters, and guns are all powered by CNG. BAM! POW, foreign oil!
Clean Cities Utah uses this clean, mean, crime fighting machine to garner interest and support about the benefits of alternative fuels and, in particular, compressed natural gas. It certainly caught our attention!
The Clean Cities program works to make connections all around the country in support of their mission to reduce U.S. petroleum use. The organization continues to be a powerful ally for the natural gas vehicle industry.
